Standard 9: Professional Growth

Description: “The teacher is a reflective practitioner who continually evaluates the effects of his or her choices and actions on others and who actively seeks out opportunities to grow professionally.”

Reflection: I feel that my science background from both school and working in the field gives me a unique and exciting approach to Biology to share with my students. As a young professional there are still many areas of my professional growth to continue working on. Some of the areas I have had the most growth have been my leadership abilities, my content area expertise, and a broad array of real world work experiences.
